Introducing the Reloop RP-7 Turntable: A New Standard for 7-inch Vinyl Lovers
Reloop, a renowned name in the world of DJ equipment, has unveiled its latest creation – the Reloop RP-7 Turntable. This innovative piece of equipment is designed to cater to both DJs and home listeners with a passion for 7-inch vinyl records.
The RP-7 is based on the popular RP-7000 model, but with several significant upgrades. The platter, made of die-cast aluminium, ensures a smooth and stable performance. The tonearm, a key component, is a straight copper design with internal rubber damping, providing precision and durability.
One of the standout features of the RP-7 is its reset button, which instantly turns the speed to zero, a handy tool for DJs in the midst of a set. The turntable is also equipped with a high torque DC motor (2.5kg/cm) that has been tuned to reduce wow and flutter for optimal sound quality.
The RP-7 is a dedicated 7-inch vinyl player, capable of playing at 33, 45, and 78 RPM speeds. It can be used as a solo unit or as part of a DJ setup, making it versatile for various settings.
The base of the tonearm is height-adjustable, allowing for customisation to suit individual preferences. The connection terminals are recessed to protect them, and the outputs are switchable phono/line with gold-plated connectors for superior sound quality.
The RP-7 also boasts a detachable, rotatable LED light, adding an element of style to any setup. Furthermore, the new motor in the RP-7 turntable has an adjustable tempo range of ± 8%, ± 16%, or ± 35%, giving DJs more control over their mixes.
According to Reloop's CEO, Gerald Barbyer, the release of the Reloop RP-7 turntable is a testament to Reloop's commitment to empower DJs and music enthusiasts and to share their love and passion for the thriving 7-inch collectors culture.
The Reloop RP-7 turntable is now available for purchase, with an approximate price of £499 / €549 / $599 (approximately AU$1,035). The turntable is expected to be officially available in September 2025.
With the Reloop RP-7 turntable, Reloop continues to push the boundaries of what a turntable can be, providing a professional-standard player dedicated to smaller form factor vinyl records, perfect for DJs and music enthusiasts alike.
